This position will need you to take responsibility as main coordinator of shipment (import/export) between Marketer/ Buyer and factory's Supply Chain (Material Planning, Logistics, Production, Shipping and QA) are planned without further delayed once trade is approved. The Customs and Shipping Executive possess the responsibility to ensure all shipment planning can ship out order without further delayed once trade is approved.
- Responsible for import and export shipment.
- Plan and coordinate shipping activities, including scheduling shipments, preparing shipping documents and coordinating with carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation and tracking information.
- Apply permit with respective government agencies (local and overseas)
- Ensure plants license, International Trade, MITI, requirement is adhered to Custom Act.
- Liaise with bank, shipping & forwarding agent and relevant authority to expedite clearance of goods.
- Arrange high dutiable goods to keep in bonded warehouse and clear partially.
- Arrange approval customs to do stamping and labelling in bonded warehouse and arrange lock van and insurance coverage for the delivery of goods.
- Liaise with customs to resolve disputes/ claims/ queries.
- To source the most competitive and workable shipping rates and services.
- Handling shipping issues and customer complaints.
- Bachelor’s Degree or min Diploma in any field.
- 2-3 years experience in export/ import shipping with good understanding of incoterms for international trade.
- Proficient in Ms Office application skills.
- Competent, meticulous, and accurate in preparing and handling shipping documentation and operation.
- Good interpersonal skills and good working attitude.
- Able to communicate well both verbally and written.
