Hai-O Enterprise Bhd's pre-tax profit for the third quarter ended Jan 31, 2012 rose to RM13.01 million from RM9.03 million in the same period last year.
Revenue increased to RM62.79 million from RM57.62 million previously, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
For the nine months period, pre-tax profit rose to RM35.32 million from RM28.90 million in the correspopnding period in 2011. Revenue increased to RM169.96 million from RM164.99 million previously.
Hai-O said the increase in revenue and pre-tax profit was mainly due to higher contribution from its principal subsidiary which is the multi-level marketing division.
"Despite the lower revenue in the wholesale division, better profit in the current quarter was generated from higher sales in high margin products," it added. -- Bernama
